I have no problem with the money going to the spca what so ever but i'd just like to suggest about using it to help newbies? what about the "Uncle Bruce Memorial Bike school?"

    Have fun with your seat.
Oh dear ... misunderstood again by hasty posting.

I didn't know what had been decided before and was just exploring an idea that we had honoured Bruce and if there was anything left over could we gain some brownie points for "bikers" by doing it in KB's name. Bull's right ... decision was made, I didn't understand the background to it, the right decision has been made. End of story. Goodness, I didn't expect to have such a disruptive affect on the whole thing

It's a great initiative and has had a great response, let's not spoil it now ... that certainly wasn't my intention.

Just put in. Sorry it took so long - Internet Banking scares the crap out of me and I had to get her indoors to help.

Does anyone have a Paypal account I can transfer money to so they can donate NZ$ on my behalf? I'd be very grateful.

As mentioned in my post here.....I'm about to get one up and running for LB.
I took his parents up to MT Vic today to see the seat my friends and myself had made for our dear friend Grant. They seemed genuinely moved by the whole idea, and now simply want to discuss it with Bruces sister as to where they'd like to see one built. They may yet like one with Uncle B's......but please don't approach them......I've got this one under control.

Which brings me to this.....I know a lot of you don't have money to burn....hell I don't either.....but it'd be great if you have some in reserve for this one too.

I'll keep you all up to date once I've heard back from LB's family....and thank you all for your generous donations for this idea.

Trudi......you're a star for getting this one off the ground.

    Pete

    Absolutely Pete!!
Yeah guys, don't forget to be just as generous for LB's seat when Pete gives the nod, I'm sure you all don't need any encouragement though. It really does make the whole thing easier if you don't have to beg and scrounge up $$ from people to get things moving along (unlike dealing with City Councils!)

There's enough money to start blinging the seat now! Uncle B style!

A nice stain may be the first mod.

    Perhaps some anodised blue nuts???

Maybe an Alpinestars sticker here or there!

Just joking of course...... I'm all for the SPCA excess donation!

Just checking in. Current balance is at $810 (thanks guys, you're all awesome!!)
Went into the council today to track down the park plans, (Yes I thought I recognised you Deano, picking up something nice for your bike??? ), looks like they are constantly in the process of up-grading and the woman (Judy) said that we can basically pop it anywhere we liked when I showed her where we'd like it. So it's all go really. NC's going to draw up a seat plan and send it through to Judy to be approved and then we can get things moving. So hopefully kids, not too much longer before we see some action!

You are such a star Trudes Well done babe, Uncle B would be so happy and I am sure Mrs UB does as well. Will give you my dosh on Sunday for the seat, I can't wait to see it, and an unveiling would be an awesome idea. Remember any help you need just ask.
