    Talking Back (BIGBOSSMAN)

20 years after almost killing myself on a Suzuki RG500, I'm back with my new ride - a 2005 ZX10R Kwaka. It feels fabulous to be back in the hot seat - no more 360% head spins on the motorway pining at the bikes as they whiz by. Nope I'm back, and although not as insane as I used to be I still know how to have fun! See you on the road guys...........

Welcome to the site. From one of the nastiest bikes of the '80s to one of the nastiest bikes of the new century. Nice.

Thanks man - haven't told mum yet (73, and I still remember the look on her face when I woke up in intensive care!) but I just can't help myself. No amount of MotoGP on tv or living vicariously through mate's experiences can replace the vibe of riding a decent bike. And my bro is about to buy a 2003 Fireblade, so it's going to be a family affair! Fuck'n A.

Shit - I lost part of me as my beloved bounced down the road end on end, and now I've found it again. I'm out riding with my mate on his ZX9R most days, and I'm more than a bit interested in Thursdays KB ride in West Auckland. A big Gidday to all the Pukekohe track marshalls out there (class of 83/84/85/86).

Been there myself, and so has my mum. She knows me and knows she can't say or do anything to keep me off bikes.

Damn right. Funny thing, it was my only accident (apart from the ones I didn't tell her about). This ZX10R, it's unreal. Easier to ride than the old RG, but so with much more power it's like a drug. I ride it like I respect it, and I haven't had any issues so far. Spins the rear coming out of turns easily though!

    Welcome to KB mate!

Excellent to have another on two wheels. Know where you are coming from with the "watching bikes is doing the head in"!!!

Thanks guys, the ZX10R is blindingly quick (esp in the hands of an old fart) and I'm left with a permanent grin every time I jump on it. Track day sounds very interesting - whaddya reckon Biggles??

The chances of that occurring shortly are reasonably high. Trouble is I'm running out of time b4 the Brass Monkey. I think you should come (2 the monkey that is)....it would be rude not to!
