Was going to catch up with y'all and introduce myself this weekend but the timing didn't work out.

I went for a ride by myself up the Wairoa Road this morning anyway, but after three scares in quick succession I came home again before reaching Tutira

First was that lovely patch of gravel across the road coming down the hill towards Devil's elbow (almost a brown trouser moment finding that), then just around the elbow I got hit full in the visor by an unfortunate sparrow, then moments later as I was recovering from the sparrow I overcooked a corner and gave myself another fright. Decided to take the hint and went home.

Maybe see you guys next weekend...

This is probably a blonde question but is the BP Taradale Road the one that's in the area of Onekawa? or not far from it?

Yep, that's it. Turn right at your house, turn left at the "T" intersection, through the roundabout, and its down that road (Taradlae Rd) on your left, past the Mobil.

Yeah..I saw you at Westshore on Sunday......Like the look of the new Yammy.....just been reading an article about them in the M/C Trader...low and behold, drive down the road about 1/2 a click and there you were... That YRoa road is becoming a regular haunt for us...we're very lucky that Gizza4ever knows every stone on that road...he will gladly give you the learn. ..save on the laundry too Sorry about Sundays ride Dooly...My Mums still crook...., we were all suited up ready to go out the door and the phone rang.....I managed to take the Duchess for a putt putt later on in the afternoon....had a good day today..sold our ute...its bloody good having money coming IN for a change...its not something I know much about. Long range forecast for next W/End looks good....be good to get some more visitors to ride with, Cheers W

    or not.

That R1 was setting a good pace on the w/end. Mr G. Followed very closely by rolling thunder. I have said it before and will say it again " you peddle that bike like a sports bike W " I don't think HD meant them to go that fast.

Roll on the w/end. So far away........... ............

Speights_bud gave me my bike back tonight. I will just go out and give her a hug.......

Bloody dangerous tho..........sunstrike the whole way in, had to shield my eyes with my left hand, not good.
Be better tonight on the way home.

Strip of vinyl about 30mm 'deep' across the top of your visor....means you can dip your head slightly and that shades your eyes
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Forecast looks great for both days this weekend.

The missus wants to go for a ride Sunday, since it never happened last Sunday.
She can stay home Saturday and do whatever girls do when their better halves go off riding motorbikes.

I did think about going up to the cafe at the start of the plains, but hXc informs me there is roadworks for Africa up there.

How about down my way, off one of the HW50 roads, then routing back thru that road from Waipawa that ends up right outside the Patangata.

Dunno about Sunday, but maybe lunch somewhere involved??
Maybe no lunch, dunno, open to suggestions....
