It looks like Suzuki gave Stevie Wonder some paper mache and asked him to drop acid and design a superbike for them. Fairings all over the place like some sort of picasso bike and the nastiest blue and white colour scheme I've seen on a GSXR. It's a fucking pig and the twin cans not only look like an afterthought but it appears they came out of the Hyosung or Zhong Shen parts bin. Hideous.

I have to agree. I'm not a Suzuki hater by a long shot. But why they have to keep going with that Hybusa type melting, drooping, falling on the front wheel, headlight ugly thing is a mystery. And the other bikes with the pipes tucked up under the tail looks so much better.

CBR1000= average
ZX10= sexy
Gixer= ugly

sorry guys but protest as much as you like my mind is made up, no matter how good it is to ride!!

How the hell would you know, nomatter what bike you sit on, the suspension bottoms out straight away, so ground clearance goes out the window, along with the bike being "thrown around."

WSB: One championship for Suzuki since 1988. Five for Honda.

Yep. Suzuki got owned, alright. No doubt from reading the reviews and seeing what people have said on here that the K7 Thou is one stonker of a bike (and I bought the 'Blade

) but quoting a company's mission statement is hardly testament to their ability. In fact, the flasher the mission statement, the less able the company is to achieve it.

And yeah ... the K7 is fugly. Suzuki may indeed go for function over styling, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the styling's gotta be given to the spotty retarded boy in coke-bottle specs who sweeps the penvil shavings off the design room floor. Look at the 1098: it's hardly a bad performer and it doesn't look too shabby either.

Can't stand the looks, I'm not a fan of my K5 looks either but the K7 looks even poo-ier.
The twin pipes looks like extra weight but whoever buys a litre bike and leaves the stockers on is a poofta anyways

I'll stick with my K5 and loud pipe for now, the fairings don't look like they've been melted by a giant kid with a magnifying glass thinking its an ant and the pipe doesn't look ghey.
The old ZX10R was a cunt to ride fast, but that didn't stop them being sold.......some people prefer to get a wild ride over a fast stable one!

Those are World Championship figures, the Suzies do much better in the domestic championships of the world due to the fact they are closer to a racer out of the crate. FACT.
Honda puts more than three to four times the money of the other manufacturers into winning races, the world champs is where they will always concentrate their biggest efforts and where they can change the bikes a lot to suit the rules.

Actually, Suzuki first won MotoGP in 1976 with Barry Sheene on an RG500. Honda didn't get their first win until 1983 through Freddie Spencer on an NS500. And no - it came of a list of results since 1949. If you're interested, MV Agusta top the list with 18 championships - but the last of those was in 1974.

Most teams do not publish financial results. So how do you know how much factory support they get, or how much Honda ploughs into racing? I just picked the three biggest motorcycle racing series on the planet. I imagine if you pick and choose your race series, you could get results 'proving' Suzuki was better.

And when it comes down it real world performance, it depends entirely on the rider. Yes, the K7 Gixxer's ahead of the '07 Blade by all accounts. However, according to most of the reviews I've read, the '06 Blade was ahead of the K6 Gixxer. Next year will be a different story. Honda will bring out their new model (as will Yamaha and Kawasaki), whilst Suzuki will - based on their standard two year release schedule - simply give the K7 a new paint job and a few cosmetic enhancements.

From industry insiders, read any decent motogp scribes comments and you'll note that Honda is and has always been the biggest spender.
Kawasaki for instance has a tiny Motogp effort compared to all the others.
No the factories don't publish what they spend but insiders such as Mat Oxley and the aussie gp writer Michael Scott know what they are talking about having been involved in GP for years and in constant contact with all the teams.
Honda was always going to be a big winner in past years with basically a full grid of Honda's!!!! with a few suzuki's and yamahas and the odd lone Kwaka.
Not taking anything away from them, don't take it personally.

Funny, cause most of the reviews I've read (and I read a heap of them) tend to lean towards the Gixxer or the R1......they said the 06 Blade was better than the 05 Blade but still not a match for the Suzi or Yam.

Staying on it, doesn't win races or championships! Winning consistently or finishing on the podium does!

My point was, or rather is, that the minimal difference between the bikes is just that; negligible. however the way the bikes perform and the way the power is delivered means that Honda usually end up on teh podiums.. where as gixxers DON'T! cos they crash...

Why doesn't every one fuck up about which is better, we all have our own idea on the subject, and all the argueing on here wont change it.

The thread was a review of the K7 Gixxer, why try and turn it into a bitch fight about superiority, do a review of something else in it's own thread, and write it better!
