Well, last night was pretty extreme and it's all Yod's fault i might add... It will be interesting to see how he feels at the moment.

Oh Meanie. I see in your profile you have a Mean Streak. My old boy has one of them. 1500cc right? They are nice to ride on. Took a while to get used to the position though as im used to the sport bikes.

He's got some aftermarket pipes on it so it sounds gooooood!

We'll try to bring some of the clear blue sky and sun with us....that D/virke 'mist' will soon burn off
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

    My little writeup.....

Well I had to go into PN this morning to take care of some work and the weather looked pretty damn good. Looking forward to a great day of riding.

Got home about 9 and Chanceyy showed up soon after to get herself cleaned up and ready for riding. Fantastic cause she thought that she was going to be late but managed to head off down to Mobil at the planned 930.

It seems like such a long time ago but I think there were 9 or 10 there. Yod was waiting on a mate so running a bit late but got away for a gentle stroll up to Dannivirke. Met up with more kbers including suglite who promptly took a liking to the new green machine and made some adjustments to the shocks.

hawkes bay Kbers showed up and after a few ciggys we were off.

The changes suglite made to the bike were evident in the first corner. Bike feels fantastic. Much more stable and heaps eaiser to ride.

Went through to Wimbilton and had a count up of the bikes. 19 out of 22 showed up. That is not good. Waited for a bit and nearly sent out a search party when Yod and co showed up with one of his young mates mirror in his pocket. Minor damage to right hand side of a gsxr400 but the lad got away alright. Wont dewell as most know my intollerance for single bike "accidents" by now.

Feeling a bit like some lunch we had a run through to somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Starts with P and someone will fill in where we were.
Nice lunch. MTRS will note that I did not get lost before lunch!

After lunch we headed up middle road and it all got a bit blurry from there. Turned off up one road then turned around and I assumed we were going one way so went one way but were surposed to go a different way. Managed to lose the group all together. Went on a tiki tour and found a couple with a ZX7R and a buell that had run out of gas. They were syphonning one to the other. They had it sorted so headed back and around till I found HW2.

Cool. Got in contact with 86 and found out that they had been on an adventure and were on HW50 so I blasted down to HW50 turnoff and waited there. Had a big regroup and all was good again. Made it home without getting lost (there was food waiting at home) and all is good.

Another adventure over. Bring on the next one. Next time Hawkes Bay should come down here and we will get you lost around our roads.

Well what an awesome day weather was bloody magic and the company was just as good, roads were dry and almost gravel free, apart from that one small damp patch just before Wimbleton where the meanie,s rear wanted to catch up with the front
To the people celebrating Anzac day at the wimbleton tavern thanks for your hospitality and eats
Quick mental note never never never never never never follow Cowboyz
It was great to put some more names to faces and meet some more kbers
Good luck to the guys we met at the Dannivirke Mobil on thier way down south to start the Southern cross Ride safely guys
All in all a great day was had by all and the most laughs i have ever had on a kb ride as we played hide and seek around the back roads of the bay

Yeah, there were some tricky patches on that first patch of road. Adds to the challenge of road riding huh...

I almost forgot about the eats at wimbleton pub. Fantastic hospitality from the pub. Much appreciated and held this lad over till lunch.

How come I getting blamed for getting lost? Everyone always blames me. I told you I didn't know where I was going before we headed off!

    Still a very entertaining day.......

Yea i like the riding style of the meanie only problem i have is the ground clearance could be a little better but once you get used to it its fine
I am generaly not too far behind the sports bike riders, about half a cigarette
I am considering some V & H pipes for it
