Pic of my 996s du du du ducati

this here is my nu baby.
i was speachless after my first 5 hour ride (from hastings to pauanui) on it!
unbelievable. riding position, breaks etc is mint. after that i rode it everyday.including to work (where i got a super hot asse commuting home).

i even blew off surfing perfect west coast 2-4ft glassy conditions to go for a ride instead

did i mention I'm in love with the helicopter sound and the clutch rattle . in love.

cheers to kittyhawk for shooting the pic on the ride the other day....

i think lots of people think they're broken cause it sounds so mad!
when the clutch is out and the bike is idleing in neutral it sort of sounds normal (like a quiet helicopter) with a faint rattle that's different from the engine. then when you pull the clutch in the sound changes entirely there's a higher pictch rattley noise but it's sort of got a smoothness to it, but it's WAAY different to the near-silent transitions of a wet clutch. when your riding along you don't hear anything unusual till you pull the clutch in to change gear and for that split second when the clutch lever is in the insane highpitch swirly rattle emerges from the clutch cover and then dissapears when you select the next gear and the clutch is out. it's absolutely a turn on i actually don't think i've quite described it right..you sort of have to hear it. the clutch itselt still feels smooth to change gear, just it's got this nuts sound

Actually, not as expensive as you'd think. I mean, it's alot of money, but so are all good bikes that aren't 600SS'.............
