Should have multi'd but fuck it....
We smokers contribute about 900 million dollars to Government by way of tabacco tax each year...unlike drug dealers. So go!! the smokers, we wouldnt want the non-smokers of NZ to be harshly taxed if we all gave up...
No...the Te Hana Tribune.....![]()
Just googled and 10% or so goes in to funding to stop smoking and for free patches......
USA tax is half that of NZ and they still have Prohibition Laws.
What a screwed up world it seems sometimes eh.........thank God for Church..........
Anyway, I pay for my own deisel.................
No one deserves to die...............but if that is how you feel that is fine.
If you smoke you know the dangers, just like speeding. It is personal choice which is fine.
Saying that smokers pay their way does not make it right when a smoker's life is saved over someone who suffered from cancer, did not smoke, and died because the queue was too long.
One study showed that in primary lung cancer victims, 84% were smokers.......poor bugger if you are in the 16% and have to wait eh?
Packets say, I think I am correct 'Smoking Kills' so if you smoke you accept the consequences.......that is freedom of choice but saying you pay your way is in my view a selfish approach because you are not giving non-smokers freedom of choice.
Anyway, taking things off topic but I do not believe these P guys deserve to die.....don't agree with P etc, however, they are simply suppling a demand.......is the Govt any different because they know smoking kills but will not ban smoking because they get $900 million dollars to put in their piggy bank.
Another topic.
Looks like they overcooked this brew, guess the local economy will take a downturn in the next wee while, I have to travel through that way today, hope you guys wont introduce road toll tax to make up for ya neighbours blunder

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?
