    Mrs Oakie signs in

Hi all. For those that don't know my story I will fill you in. 26 years ago I sold my Honda CG 125 to purchase a 4 wheeled thing to go on our honeymoon in. Since then Mr Oakie has had a few bikes but stopped riding when the family came along. 5 years ago he decided enough was enough and got a bike. Of course I was his pillion and have enjoyed this immensely. Then a couple of months ago I thought that perhaps the time was here that I could perhaps ride again. Then the tedious job of finding the correct bike for my lack of height. Mr Oakie was at once on the job and took it to heart. After exhaustive research we found a bike that might just do the trick, Kawasaki Eliminator 250. Went for a test ride on Saturday and well I was hooked. Needless to say Mr Oakie was thrilled for me and even said yes to the purchase of it. I take ownership on Thursday or Friday and I can't wait. It is going to be a great weekend. Can't believe how great it felt and easy it was to be on the front again. You may never find me at home again at the weekend!!!!!
    Yes but not with you

Yay!! Well done chick... once you got the bike in the blood - it never leaves....

Good on ya. I was the same, sold my bike 20 years ago to help pay for wedding. Got a scooter to go to work on about 6 years ago, then 5 years ago my current partner (not the one I married) got back into bikes and after a couple of years pillion decided to do the same. Been a slowish learning curve but it's been 18 months and I really enjoy "riding my own"
Have a great time and ride your own ride.

Well done Mrs Oakie ( you do realise you are allowed your own name, what with you being a carefree rebel biker once again )
Good to see the bug can go to sleep for a while, but it always comes back. Happy roads and sunny days to you

Welcome Mrs O, come on in and shut the door!
An excellent choice of machine, may I say - again!
