    FS: 1994 Cagiva Mito 125

Well it seems everything is up for sale at the moment...times are changing and money needs to be had.

1994 Cagiva Mito 125cc. Awesome 2T bike, handles like a dream, light, good looking, maneuverable, fantastic stopping power (the best brakes I've come across) - in short, everything you want from a bike!

The Mito has similar styling to a Ducati 996 (I believe Cagiva had a controlling interest in Ducati until 1996?) - in fact some parts are interchangeable. This is a serious Italian sportsbike, gets admirers everywhere she goes.

Brembo brakes, USD forks, steering dampner, 7speed, - a true race bike. From memory top speed is 171km. Plus they can be de-restricted relatively easily to give pretty much double the hp.

It has done approx 23,000km and has had been well maintained. Has had rebuild at 12,000km incl bottom end check, rebuilt top end, pump checked, replaced bearings, new chain, swing arm bearings, tank strap, etc (have receipts)

At 20,000km it had new rear sprocket and chain, bulbs.
I also have spare genuine piston ring for it for the next rebuild.

Brand new WOF (1-2 weeks ago), new 6 month Rego.
Beautiful in Red/Grey...photos don't do the colour justice.

It has been laid down on the rhs and the main fairing is scratched - but the scratches are still red in colour so are not really noticable.
Exhaust looks to be non-standard/upgraded (although I haven't seen another Mito to compare).

All in all an awesome bike that I would love to keep - is perfect in the corners, looks beautiful, handles like a dream...I'll be sad to see it go because I don't think I'd be able get another.

    PRICE:
Is difficult to know...I've only ever seen 1 other at a dealer for around 7.5K.

    Asking $4,995...
Based in East Auckland - or Newmarket (when good weather) during day.

Something could be arranged...plus the advantage will be that by the time it will be a classic and probably eligible for cheaper rego (What is it 30 or 40 yrs?)

It would be an awesome bike to race against the 250's 4T or in the 125 class.

3K without even seeing it...you must think its a bargain at 3K (which it would be). However we both know its worth more than that - thanks for the offer though.

well you think its worth more but as far as i am concerened its a oddball 125 with limited appeal here but as i already have a cagiva and one of my boys likes yours i would take a punt that it was a good buy, what you want for it and what you get for it is two different things but good luck with the sale

Thanks Jim, I take your point...it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Granted it is only a 125cc with probably less appeal than the std CBR or ZXR (both of which I have owned or do own and neither of which is as much fun), but it is an awesome ride, and beautiful too! The price is not set in concrete, but at this stage does not quite flex down to your offer (although I’d like to see it go to someone who would appreciate it). I’ll get some better photos over the weekend too. Thanks for your interest.
