As you all know John will be leaving the fantastic South Island in the next 4 weeks to go home (about time I say!!!) so am organising drinks and dinner

Well I work on my own most of the time, so I am quite used to having full complete and meaningful conversations with myself, sometimes gets nasty when I do not aggree with me....

Mrs Oldrider and I are seriously contemplating being there, we have sorted accommodation and have worked out where it is to be held etc and how to get there. (City traffic willing)
We have checked the weather forecast and been for a test ride (I have injured my back) to Alexandra and back today, partly to see if I can ride the distance OK.
It looks like we just might be able to get there but if my back gets worse in the meantime we may just have to flag it.
I am looking forward to meeting John before he goes back home.
For me he is an inspiration, the way he has fronted up physically, emotionally and mentally to one of life's great challenges!
I admire tough people like him and his family.
Also an opportunity to say gday to KB'rs that I know and maybe to meet some new ones.
