    You're a Journalist!!!!!!!!!!

Pick out the bit that makes the headline???????? Make another one for this thread just as wanky???

What about the bits that say Police patrol the streets daily, the shits have been to court. Wwhat does that tell you??? Courts aren't doing their part, perhaps????

But your "headline" is Police Incompetence...

A week or two later he is driving down a local road and voila! there is his truck, on the side of the road. He promptly calls the police and advises them of the situation. 10 mins later the police turn up and after taking a quick look around, they say that they cant get the truck back because it is outside a Mongrel Mob residence and they have a restraining order against them!

    Thats my 5c worth.
He had the keys I assume.....why didnt he take it himself that would be the logical thing to do he should have known the cops werent going to do shit anyway.

To solve the gang problems :

    1. More Cops
    2. Tougher Sentances
    3. Let us get on with our bloody job!
Heh heh... that TV3 thing... what ever came of that? That cop was toast, according to so many on here... but i digress....

Otherwise, correct on all three... go to the top of the class D50! But, there will not be more cops, there will not be tougher sentences, but at least I will get on with my job regardless of what media wankers make of it.

Effective and usable legislation on gangs is all that is needed.

You must mean the Armed offenders. apart from some LAV's (nice vehicles those), recon squads and SAS, our army isnt what it used to be.

You missed out a word there; I'm a journalist and don't want to be tarred with the same brush, you should have said "gutter journalist" and so many mainstream (so called) journo's are. They race around looking for the big 'headline' and do little in the way of research.

My earlier post pointed to the possibility of the police having an agenda that might (just might) include bigger things. But hey, like other comments here, even IF the police work their butts off and get the WANKERS concerned into a court room....where's the justice?

The money spent, the damage done, the resources....it never adds up coz the judges are SOFTCOCKS!

My sister was in Thailand recently. The army decided to have a big bust on drug dealers after some shit went down. So they did there intel, got names and addresses. Went to said addresses, got the people to prove who they were with photo ID and shot them.

Big holes in that particular system but zero reoffending.

you have missed a very important point, the cost effectiveness of a bullet is much better than prison.

Sounds like a great system for drug dealers, burglars, rapists, muggers, benefit cheats, gang members, lying politicians, etc.
But with the Police's blinkered attitude here towards speeding... you know what would happen.
It's only when you take the piss out of a partially shaved wookie with an overactive 'me' gene and stapled on piss flaps that it becomes a problem.

You could tell at the time it was poorly edited... good result, but the bad publicity did do damage, and for what?

Doesn't surprise me TV3 didn't want to rectify their action by apologising,
