I loved my 1999 model R6... was a mint bike from top to bottom. Was given a really hard life and held up well considering.

I paid $8k for it 2 years ago with 24,000km on it. Had a dynojet kit fitted, two bros race pipe, k+n filter, ohlins fork valves, single seat cowl, blah blah blah... Either way it was a steal.

These R6's are understated bikes in NZ. In England and the US they were raved about at the time they came out... not so much in NZ though...

While I would say your bike is worth $10k the NZ market would say more closer to $8.5k-$9k.

Either way, good luck with sale. I regret selling mine now but i couldnt afford to keep it at the time. Only thing to do now is to buy an 06+ model!

where opinion holds more weight than fact.

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

They are awesome bikes alright R6_kid. This is my 2nd one and would get another one day!!!! If I could afford to hang onto it for the little riding I do then I would but it's just not worth it.

Sounds like you got a hell of a steal on yours. There aren't too many out there for sale and seems the prices vary considerably

Think its pretty lousy to go into people's online auctions to say that their prices are too high.

    Good luck with your sale...
