Haha, not sure I could claim to have ridden well enough to have to "learn to ride well again", but yeh I know what you mean, I had some real fun moving from a GPX to my old VFR400 (Ah, the VFR... boy I miss her). To be honest the move to the 600 has been far easier to "deal" with.

    Should be a nice day.

What a lovely day it turned out to be.

Maverick's weather genie worked wonders yet again - shame about Maverick's sidestand Genie being on holiday - oh well.

I lost about 10 riders (I was never lost - I knew exactly where I was the whole time!)

Good to meet some new faces - look forward to seeing you fellas on some other KB rides in the future.

Will probably miss out the "250" next time I organise a ride since there were only 3 250's and a 150 out of 13 bikes!

    Cheers all,

    McJim

As one of the few 250's and TEC I had a great time... today's ride saw a large jump in my cornering confidence which has been virtually non-existent since coming off a few months back.

Was a bit worried when a lovely 2007 R6 ground to a halt just after the lighthouse, had visions of pushing him back 35km to Waiuku, but luckily everything was sorted very quickly. Nice ride Raj

P.S. Grahameeboy has added more droolworthy bits on that sexy red SV of his too

    Thumbs up

    What everyone else said!

Beautiful day in the end, not to hot, not too cold.

Big Bling for McJim for "not getting lost", but more so for taking the time to talk with me in the morn and give my bike the once over.

The bit of extra confidence gained from that was evident in my very much improved cornering - much more relaxed and in tune with my wheels.

It was a beautiful sight coming around some of those corners to see 12 bikes lined up along the side of the road.

The SV1000's, Gixxers, that 5 day old R6,

My sympathy's to ??? with the ZZR400? that took one for the team, to get the gate opened.

Thanks to Raj for that fucking awesome display of recovering from a slide into the ditch! Twas the highlight of the trip - only because you came out on top!

And thanks to those fast fuckers at the front for letting me think I could keep up with them - if only for a minute.

I think the only way I have of keeping up with Gremlin is if I buy a helicopter
