Big Bling for McJim for "not getting lost", but more so for taking the time to talk with me in the morn and give my bike the once over.

The bit of extra confidence gained from that was evident in my very much improved cornering - much more relaxed and in tune with my wheels.

It was a beautiful sight coming around some of those corners to see 12 bikes lined up along the side of the road.

The SV1000's, Gixxers, that 5 day old R6,

My sympathy's to ??? with the ZZR400? that took one for the team, to get the gate opened.

Thanks to Raj for that fucking awesome display of recovering from a slide into the ditch! Twas the highlight of the trip - only because you came out on top!

And thanks to those fast fuckers at the front for letting me think I could keep up with them - if only for a minute.

Hehe Nice riding man, I was like so scared when i went into that ditch coz i was doin atleast 65 odd ks... Ill explain now: I was lik lookin into my rear view mirror to see whether all the bikes were still there then the 250 in front of me banked sharply to the right and I was still plodding along going straight.... then I looked up and I was like WTF and banked hard to the right but unfortunately it wasnt hard enough to cut the corner went into some loose mud .. remembered not to touch the twin discs.... and keep my feet on the pedals which was the hardest bit then put her down to 2nd and slowly raised her out ... all this while still sliding sidewards ... god saved me ! lol was abt to drop a 5 day old R6 ! nooo I wuda cried really.... Even if that was a cliff i dont recon I wuda bailed out ....

    On another note:

Gremlin is l33t man the buggers mad.... I was followin him at abt 1** n was like sweet im pretty good with this new bike keepin up with this hard out dude on his *** n all right....then suddenly he sits straight and *wham* banks right hard as, out of sight as it was such a tight corner... Im like omg NO! I checked my speedo and it showed 1@@ I was like this is it.... noway I can take that turn at 1** kmph ! worst mistake i used the brakes !!! my back wheel locked and my bike stood up instead of turning Im like :@£"!"*$8 then i let off the brakes n just abt managed to save the day by pulling off some gravel right at the edge of the road.... balls in my mouth for half the day after that n I took it real slow !

Ride Safe everybody and nice to finally meet some of u ! A friendly bunch

    Raj.

Man you guys have much larger balls than I do going into corners.

I figure if I ride like a nana i'll live as long as one (I still have huge fun and probably entered that corner at less than half what you guys did)

Yep I saw your rear suiggle mate.....main thing is you didn't bin it so A+ to you.....a lot of guys would have binned it....have seem it on many rides, including experienced (should no better) guys.

Just get used to bike.....the new R6 is basically a track machine so needs respect on the road and I guess the extra superb handling needs getting used to eh..if you know what I mean

Jesus wept... I don't go on one ride and all of a sudden gremlin is l33t? I'm pretty sure nostradamus predicted this as a sign of the impending apocolypse.

Yeh, you seriously shouldn't be following anyone if you havn't got the skills to back it up... gremlin is reasonable (at best ) but you won't get away so lucky next time.

Well at least you must eat well

There is a line between road riding and race riding, it all depends on where you draw that line eh...

you know... this has to be one of the best laughs I have had on KB EVER. Seriously... I am not fast. Was a nice quickish cruise, and playing musical bikes, you think I was going fast, when I was on someone else's bike (or you mixed riders and bikes).

As I pointed out on the ride Raj, and Karma has pointed out, never travel at someone else's pace. If that guy goes too fast, and crashes (like people do), and you are following him, because you think what he is doing is ok.... it gets messy, and a number of riders have been caught out like that.

Before back fire etc get here (they will have a field day)... I am not fast... really... Graham... yeah mate, didn't want to leave you behind, what with you following our little "detour", and you being the only one knowing about the pub

The ride was great tho, cheers to McJim and Maverick... never done those roads before, so it was refreshing, pity those sweepers are a tad open
