    Rumble in the Jungle

    Just got the tail bit of that on telly tonight. Something about Forman being drugged or something. What's that all about any one know??

    There has been old story about Foreman's trainer giving him a drink before the fight...
    He gave George a drink .. George apparently says... "It tastes like medicine" trainer says it's just water.. and George has another drink and says "It tastes like medicine"
    goes on to fight and loses... the inference is that the fight was fixed... apparently by the mafia... George said the fight happened and he lost fair and square

    Yeah but Foreman pummelled Ali for 10(?) rounds before tiring out. Doesn't sound that drugged to me.

    I still enjoy watching that fight...

    Another one of the reasons why Muhammad Ali was the best heavyweight of all time. Ali was a boxer and a puncher.

    Ali was not a great puncher, he just punched hard enough and more often than most, very damaging for the receiver. Ali "was" the Greatist. (IMHO) John.
