    We're alive

Ahh people come, people go ... that's life. It just means we're a dynamic community like any real world small community.

While it's sad to see people leave, especially those who have posted intelligently and been thought provoking, it's also a bit refreshing as it means that others who have been posting away quietly in the background will have a vacant space into which to step so they can be the next frequent posting thought provoker.

As long as we get more people posting in the 'New Members' section than we have old members posting their swan-song in 'Rant or Rave' then it's all good.

Swoop, The Stranger runs an IT Service Company and Ive never seen him market that on here. Like Ixion and others members here, he is a member of BRONZ (non-profit org), he gives up every 3rd Sunday to be a volunteer instructor at the RRRS Course. He enters this in the Calendar because he believes it is worthwhile course that could save lives.
He will help any Kiwibiker/biker with advice, mechanical issues or help with maintenance. He has picked up and delivered numerous bikes for fellow kiwibikers and will teach anyone who is keen to learn how to ride. If he knows you, he would loan you a bike without thinking twice. He expects nothing in return for any of this. He is one of those bikers who loves biking and sharing his knowledge. Believe it or not he IS one of the good guys.
I dont understand why you say he is using this site as a marketing tool.

    Was he there too? *Groan*

I seem fated to continually ignore the man. Need to go on more KB rides and spend less time sleeping, lol.

Need to meet him in person to shake his hand.

Motu, Jim2, one day you await the same fate, like it or not.

Indeed he was. On his SV. Good cross-section of people. Although only a few on 250s and I turned back early due to being shattered

Be good to go on another ride with you at some stage

I think the other mods also got Fed up with his continual protection of idiotic newbies who can't ride to literally save themselves, those who dont have bikes and never will , kitty aj etc, depressive share my life types, the good god likes motorcycles types, as its hard work keeping up a few alter egos on the go when ixion infracts and bans them so quick.
I say fair call. This place isnt a democracy, pot shots (offensive or not) at those whose opinons you think are idiotic should be tolerated. The place will be better for it.
