    Come on guys...
Well this post has changed somewhat since I saw it this afternoon.

For me I am picking that there will a bigger need for people power rather than funds on his return. So those of us more fortunate than others can participate financially will do so without needing to be prompted.

For those that live closer to him...on his return he is going to need you KBers to support his business. Be it sweeping the floors or answering the phones. That will mean more than any financial contribution.

Have donated what I can afford. Still being a bit of a newb, can someone tell me what is Shaun's business in NZ? Will support where possible.

now this gives me an idea......

i could send luke up to help up sweeping, cleaning etc...........

but on further thinking.. that will become more of a burdon (or is that more bourbon drunk) for him and his wife and kids and next door neighbours....)

    pay day next week

A good thing you are doing - well done.

Never met shaun, maybe never will. But all I read suggests that he is a good man and worthy of our community support.

A hundy dropped in today, you should see it in the account tomorrow. Reference is s harris.

    Understatement of the year... yes.

An FYI - the RF comes with wickedly underperforming front shocks (now I know...) and Shaun's whole things is "What do you want to do - spend money and get it perfect, spend some money and get is a lot better, or let's get the best out of what you've got"

I went for the latter (el cheapo strikes again, 'sides it's an old bike)... performance and handling were HUGELY improved. Every bike I get from now on is going via his workshop (seriously - this ain't a kiss Shaun's arse post). The guy knows what he's doing... and it shows.

Honest, hard working guy who (as I am now finding out) is a bloody motorcycling legend to boot (he wrote a BRITTEN?????? AND I SHOOK HIS HAND!)

Yeah. Testimonials for the guy will not be hard to find. I'm certain of that.

I'll take that as proof that people get what they deserve. Good and bad.
$2,000 cash if you find a buyer for my house, kumeuhouseforsale@straightshooters.co.nz for details

I understand MNZ are doing a collection for Shaun as well. I've requested details and will let you all know as soon as I have them for those who'd prefer to donate through them.

FYI the account that I have is totally separate from my own banking. Every cent in that account will go to Shaun and his family. I'm happy to let people see statements if they have any reservations.

A notice will be on the MNZ website shortly with bank account details for those wishing to donate through them.

That is so good of them to do it as well.

I'm impressed with the total the Kiwibikers have raised so far.
Will be putting in a bit myself this weekend.

Just got to get to my highly secure internet banking at home...

Well, today is Friday, and it is still about 3am in IoM.
Today is the day they will bring Shaun out of the coma, so my thoughts are with him, and those at his side, hoping it all goes well...

Will be good to catch up with you sometime.

I have absolutely NO reason to doubt your honesty and integrity Riff. To me a donation direct from KB who he states as his sponsor on his website is better than some "Welfare Fund" on MNZ.
