I don't know about you, but I ride motorcycles. I don't give a rat's banana what niche manufacturers, or marketers, or dealerships want to put it in.

But as far as those definitions are understood, both my bikes are "Streetbikes". Neither fowl nor fish, but a shit load of fun.

Yeah I noticed that, all the sports bike riders are closet cruiser riders otherwise where are these votes coming from? And to answer the tourer/sports bike question - yes they are the same thing. There are cruisers, sports bikes and off roaders, that's it.

    Scooter or touring!

No other catagory for me so I went for second best, scooter. When you have few choices, go for the one that brings the biggest smile to your dial!

Well if 0 to 100 in just over three seconds falls into the cruiser catergory I'd have to say cruiser, but I like the sound of muscle bike better.

Strange forum to be posted in the Cruiser section. I've put the SV in the sprots bike category, but it's really more of a 'sporty-standard'.

I think that if you examine what people seem to ride you'd find most of us ride standard type bikes that lean towards the sporty or cruiser spectrum. Let's face it NZ has probably been influenced far more by the British motorcycling industry than the American, so our 'heritage' (if that's the right word) is more towards the sporty standard side of things.

Or I could just be spouting a load of bollocks. Again.

    You met my lady then

Back on topic, was sports bike, now Cruiser all the way. Next ride probably a mobility scooter (moded to the hilt that is).

Hehe0h, nice one, I was thinking of putting a flag on the back of the vl1500, hanging some outrigger wheels on it and painting it like a mobility scooter, problem solved
