    Aluminum ceramic coatings - HPC

Has anyone tried these in real life? How well did it stack up? Does it hold its finish well? I've seen some pictures on the web of some engine covers done in this stuff and it looks great - attached. They say it can be put onto plain steel too - with the cost of re-chroming I was thinking of getting all my stuff done in this - will look great with all the other ally stuff. A bit of me is thinking about getting the whole frame done in it

I have had HPC done on some engine parts. Just keep in mind that its not the same mirror finish as chrome, if that is what u are looking for.

The finish is matt silver... and it won't get anymore shiny.

Yeah not shiney as the man said - but seems to weather fairly well.

Don't know about a frame but heaps of exhaust sytems on hot-rods done in it and look good.

Those parts in the photo are done with it apparantly - I'll be happy with that finish.

Procoat in East Tamaki do the same coating for about 2/3rds the price. Search procoat here and see some pics of stuff they did for me, it's pretty good.
