I didnt graduate

Never knew what i was going to be upon leaving the education system. The only certificate i got from school was my leaving certificate...and i still have that, im very proud of it. I have been in my trade for 26 years now, left school in 78' (form 5) bummed around for two years and started Carpet/Vinyl laying in 1980...

Yeah, i just got meself a little job, only 30k/year tho (was hoping and budgeting for 32k...) Which is nice drawing up some things on the computer. Hopefully get a pay rise next year if I works hard.

I was apparently destined to be a lawyer or a judge. Runs in the family! Talk about peer pressure...

There is no way I could live with the idea of having bailed some sorry ass rapist or wife basher or suchlike for a job....

I was thinking more along the lines of....bit of a mull up at the end of a party (late 70's here) listening to 'Highway to Hell'....then 'Hotel California'....then move onto Alan Parsons Project for that....relaxing time... .... thants a graduation of sorts aint it?....

Just finished giving my year 10 English class the learn on Bro'town And now have about 20 minutes to breath before I have to hand out reports.

And then, I'm going to go home, pack my ride gear and go for a ride down to Raglan. Just for fun, 'cause I can and to surprise a mate down there and drop his laptop off (and give the new GPS gadget a good bashing, I bought off Yamaha64Life )

Oh yeah, was also said I would be good as a soldier/cop (funnily enough, I ended up doing Security for several years! ) - all good apparantly as the skills transfer directly into... teaching

In my case it was early/mid 70's and Hawkwind was on the turntable.
