Contact cleaner did nothing, I think that current tester light thing Gordie loaned me is broken and out of my depth with the other one. Got good readings between the wires going into the coil and the frame though. Will have nother look at it tomorrow.

I was witness to the start of this storm Wednesday afternoon when I rode north here to Whangarei. Got just north of Natea when the rain started, all good I was well wrapped up, but as I got to the southern motorway it really started to pour down. By the time I got to about Manukau the traffic was down to 30ks, and I could hardly see a thing (lane splitting with fogged up visor, ugly). It was fat rain, then the lightening started flashing to my left. By Orewa I was soaked to the bone (full wets and four layers of clothes), by Waiwera it was dry again. My cell phone drowned in the process in my pocket (that will learn me re phone in plastic bag), and my boots were full of water. 11 years since I rode in rain that heavy.

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?

This whole, "stay dry until 5 mins before I get off work then piss down" thing is getting really annoying.

Why don't you just transform into an umbrella or something?

I know whatcha mean though... I've been off work with a head cold because I got caught in that downpour on Weds night.

My sister rang me and said "It's really pissing down and windy. Are you going to be OK riding home in this?" Of course I'm looking out the window thinking "WTF are you on about? It's not even raining here!"

Sure enough, right at 5pm I walk out the door and BAM, I'm saturated!

I rode in that too, collected my bro in law's GN250 at 5.10pm from Ohauiti, starting to rain. Get to the Hairini Roundabout ... friggin hail, lighting and wind. Nearly blown off the Maungatapu bridge and a hairy ride along the State Highway to Papamoa. Bloody nitemare but awesome lightning.

What, 15min ride home and you get a head cold, toughen up young lady. Oh thats right, you dont drink, normally, so no immune build up to head colds. I rode for two hours after getting saturated, in the dark and cold.
Oh, by the way, my boot has cleaned up OK after you throwing up all over them, great party by the way, hope your nabours survived us....

I rode in that rain and lightning too! It was the most fun I have had in ages. Amazingly, I was completely dry on the inside of my gear when I got home. Now I have a cold. That will teach me for working with people have also got colds.
