Get your mits on a ceramic glass hammer (like on the buses) use it on the drivers side window or if you dont want it to get messy a screwdriver to the lock will do the job, put the vehicle in neutral and take the handbrake off and roll it where ever the fuck you want, if its got a steering lock a bit of brute force will brake that. Just make sure you wear gloves and get the fuck outa there REAL quick. either that or just shove shit up the exhaust untill you cant fit anything else in, it'll take the bastard about a week to work out whats wrong with his car.
I used to work at a car yard, so you learn a few tricks from the mechies on this topic.

    Well said.

And lets hope it gets returned to him in one piece. After all, it must be tough knowing that while you are in bed someone else is taking advantage of your car park. (And perhaps, while the car park is lying there with a different car on top of it, god forbid, it might actually even enjoy it...)

Body corp AGM on tuesday night. I'm working on proposal to start clamping cars. should only cost about $200 for a good quality wheel clamp & $100 for a pay as go mobile. Then if we sort a rota of 1-2 people a night to sort this out.
Someone parks in your space you ring mobile.
We go round clamp car and leave note.
Person comes out & gets a shock.
Has to pay $50 to have car released
Won't take anothers space in a hurry next time.

Will see how the vote goes. I was hopeing people could suggest other towing services that operate in albany. Not to worry

For the ones who are dying of starvation, disease and war the extra 50m might be a price they would happly pay to be able to live.
I bet this guy, as part of his body corporate fees, PAYS for this parking space so he has a right to complain. If he can't park in his own space, he then has to park elsewhere - which inconveniences him. It sounds like this has happened more than once, whether to him or to someone else is irrelevant, and it also sounds like the people who are meant to do something about it aren't doing their job.

If you are so bloody concerned about the ones dying of starvation (who are also prolific breeders and often disease carriers), fuck off over to those countries and put your money where your mouth is. As for me, I'm with parking space guy - this would piss me off and I'd feel quite justified doing something about it. I don't give a shit about the starving in other countries so don't try laying that tired old guilt trip on us.

i'd just go for the 2 trolley jacks thing - keep it easy. park it out on the road, or just leave it in the middle of the drive (so you can get around it). it will be moved pretty quickly after that.

or, call 111 and tell them you think there's a P-Lab in the boot.

Irish--Do you have a sighn saying that the space is PRIVATE PROPERTY?
A simple sighn saying the car will be clamped if parking in your space and a $50 release fee will be charged--Think of this as a money maker--pretty soon you'll be cheeriing if someone parks in your space.

No way $50... even 10 years ago ECPP here in Chch were charging $67.50.... apparently they wanted the personalised plate '6750' just to rub it in So yeah, $100, or no car. Only has to happen twice to pay for your clamp then

I live in a complex with 105 units. Rang up towing service to get them shifted. Was told they had a job in Wellsford & would do it in 1.5 - 2 hrs. Rang 2hrs later to find that no one'd had passed on message. Went through yellow pages on web to get someone else. After ring around found no one wants to tow from Albany.
Anyone now where I can get this towed? Probably a losted cause tonight. This is the second time RJ Don couldn't be arsed to do there fucking job.
If not I'm going back to pelting cars with flour & eggs.

Try WD Price on Ellice Road. Failing that then vaseline all the windows up, that really ruins someones day.

FROSTY - Whole complex is private property. Signposted for tow away. Signs cost $60 or $80 each from RJ Don. So that we can give him buisness. He still doesn't do the job.
Suggesting this at AGM with body corp lawyer present. We can vote & be advised on legal aspects.
Fees would go to body corp. Will be cheering as it'll go towards reducing body corp fees.

it would be pretty unusual for a towing company not wanting to tow a car, if i was you i would be wanting a explanation and if their service doesnt improve get somebody else, i wouldnt stoop to damaging the car as they will know where you park your car and the damage may come back and bite your ass, a couple of days ago i watched a towie picking up somebodys car from a carpark he had it on the truck when a woman who had been shopping turned up loaded with bags, she had a major hissy fit at the towie who just stood there and pointed at the sign saying private parking etcetc, so anyhoo she had to pay him some $$$ and he put the car down for her, at the same time a drunk guy was throwing up in the gutter, so it was like a double feature for free

Seek a refund for signs from R.J. Dons as they clearly don't work... (the signs or RJ Dons... and give them a massive rev up about it).

Get a new firm... there are plenty around who will be keen enough to contract out to your place. Most even supply the signs for free!!

If you rang another firm, they would want you to pay $$ up front to do it and you would then have to recover your loss from the car owner? (Dunno if other arrangements can be made, I assume they could).

RJs' were fairly dodgy in my time up there... Prices were good buggers.
