anyway, what would an IL4 look like, it'd look like a rectangle, and i'd bet your bottom dollar no one would get it.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

Maybe we shouldn't have a picture of an engine lol

If we are to have a picture I think it should be a very simple clip-art style pic, not very detailed.

V Twins that look like that represent cruisers when we are mostly sports bikes and nakeds.
Also, most people don't know a motorcycle engine when they see one.
Should be a bike in the middle imo.

that is so close to what i had mentally pictured! it even has the same sort of drawing style to the KB logo, and the red not only keeps with the road sign but if we make it a vinyl patch we can use reflective (thinking scotchlite or similar)

I was thinking of having the rider in graduation robes flowing behind like a cape, but what you've got probably looks better.

only thing that needs changing is the font into something bolder - this has to be easily read and also easily reproduced (for printing/vinyl/stencil - which is where this design really stands for suitability and matching my mental image)

    @ the scooter issue:
the club IS mostly scooters. the motorcycling portion of the club is mostly small commuters. To ignore scooters would be silly, especially if we want them to be active.

I think our club represents more of the silly/student side to motorcycling; the side where we do stuff cause it's awesome, not cause it's what everyne else considers cool. I mean, We genuinely argued that our club mascot should either be a traffic cone (Conelius), my obese dog (Bruce), or a giant inflatable lobster (Larry). We put angry eyebrows on our bikes. We regularly shoot down the squids and those who think anything under 600cc or 1000cc isn't worth riding. We race pocket rockets, a bucket sidecar, advoate the 400cc road bikes and have a love of all things rattly that emit clouds of blue smoke (2 stroke or not)

Our previous Safety officer was "assigned" due to his extensive injuries. We tried to vote in the two most broke guys in the club in as treasurers. We only ask for a dollar to join and tell people to give it to the most disreputable looking person in the club. Heck, we made ME of all people the new safety officer (to be fair the much lesser of many evils)

I remember back at the first AGM there was a proposal for organised scooter drags on alfred st and THAT is the spirit I want our club logo to reflect. THAT (imo) is the spirit of the SMC.

I like the bull horns V-twin idea - very cool. Honestly much better than my highside idea (again wonderfully drawn by Danae) which in hindsight isn't what we want to reflect in our logo.

BUT, your black and white Vtwin designs look like a bloody gang patch. We don't want to make ANY association with motorcycle gangs, for our own sake as well as the general public's perception of bikers in general.

The font I chose didn't have a bold option ]:
But Andrew you are right! As a newer member to the club the impression I get from everyone is a rather silly and ridiculously fun bunch of bikers (and lurking scooter riders). It's about avoiding the stereotypes of biking, like bikes vs scooters and the bigger cc the better. It gives off a friendlier image, people will want to be part of this insane club.

I was thinking, when I get home I could change it to have a scooter rider as well as a biker popping a wheelie. Representative and awesome.

    Completely agree Andrew.
We are nothing like a motorcycle gang or anything at all. Is all about the fun and games.

And voting in the two poorest people for the treasurer doesn't matter cause we don't have that much money, and its not really used for anything. If it went missing nothing would actually change

well considering the first treasurer ran off with the money, stephen has "borrowed" all of the existing funds, and the new treasurer is hardly ever present....

Could someone post up the AGM minutes or a quick summary of what happened for those of us who weren't there?

Another one would be a pic of our mascot...
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot
