when would you need 85 horse power??? the powerband would be so intense that it would stop you putting the bike to its limits

There is no power band, just power.

Stu, if you are going to buy one there's just a couple of things I need to know
    1) When is the funeral?
    2) Can I have first dibbs on your stuff?

So is it kick start or does it have an electric start? Considering how much harder is is to kick a CR500 over compared with a 250 I wouldn't fancy kicking a 700 into life (or at least trying to).

It is a kick start the bike is basically a rebadged/product sharing exercise with the ATK700 Intimidator (now there's an apt name!) It's a Rotax engine and the kickstart is on the left side, to make it just that little bit more interesting to start.....

Awesome! Would scare me silly! I remember the Maico's of the '70's, the 500 was claimed to be lethal!

But that was back in the days of power bands - they burned them with a nasty smell.2strokes don't have power bands now - it's just shit kicking power all the way.

thats insane, i hoped theyve damped down the powerband enough to make it rideable, well relatively rideable anyway. 82hp, 100kg, on a dirtbike, thats just asking for trouble/death
