Wicked day. Meet up with like 50 bikes at Autobahn, found some SMC guys on the side so we waited for the big groups to bugger off while we were trying to find out where Sam was. In true SMC fashion Sam and Gavjn were at Autobahn Bombay on the other side of the motorway hahahaha! And then Jafa messages me saying "Screw study, I'll catch you guys up!" so I told him we were heading to Paeroa then Waihi then Whanga etc etc.
So off we went to Paeroa, where I pulled over to grab a bike part from a guy. Sam passes me waving and sticks with the group. So then I head to Waihi to meet them again for lunch. Find them all at a bakery and apparently they've lost Sam. WTF there were no turn offs or anything and he was behind them!
Finally hear from Sam and he's saying I'm at Whangamata and heading to Whangerei now, wtf how'd you get past the other guys?! Then I hear from Jafa, I'm at Tairua and heading to Coroglen for lunch, WTF why'd you go there?!

So we continue, btw the group is me, Ewen, Kim, Big Al, Max (I think), Gavjn (didn't get your name). Boost along towards Whangamata and come across a crash from one of the other groups that were at BP I think, heaps of bikes there. Apparently he was all good so we continued. Boost to Whangamata, then over the hill to Kopu, then on our merry way home.
In true SMC fashion once again, the group splits up (due to speeds), I turn off to Miranda as I thought that was the plan but as I was turning I saw them still on the main road, ah well maybe I can catch them by cutting this way!
Funnily enough I pull outta the Miranda turn off onto what used to be the main rd, then the new highway tells me to turn left then right to hit the highway to Aucks. Just about to turn down there and Al and Gavjn pop up from my left, MINT I beat them hahaha
So that was that, a nice ride down the bottom half of the coro in beautiful weather with a good bunch of guys. SMC ride wins/fails again!

Sam you really make me laugh, I told you like ten times it's just the exit after Papakura where there are signs for BP etc lololol! You'll have to let us in as to how on earth you went to Whangamata
