Can someone check a shoei tinted visor for me?

Tinted visors are illegal here, so those don't have that (E) symbol on them. My transparent visor has a (E) engraved at its upper left "corner", but the tinted one shows a flat area on the same spot.

Now, as I know those are legal over there, I'd like to know if tinted visors sold over there carry that (E) sign.


If so, next task will be buy some and bring them here.

I have an XR1000. The clear and tint both have writing on the top right, final words are "If tinted for daytime use only"

Top left, Clear has the E and numbers, the tint is blank.

Since the visors aren't made here, I would imagine they come from the states, or a country that has laws around it, and we all (world) get the same visors...

My tinted visor says "Made in Japan" on it (and no, it doesn't have an "E" mark like the clear one).
The clear one is marked "Made in USA".
They're also marginally different in size and/or thickness: if I adjust the minimum opening (and how snugly it closes) for the tinted one, the clear one is different.

I always thought that the (E) mark was an European standard, it must be some sort of international standard.

My tinted one for my XR1000 is made in USA... Doesn't have E mark.

My tinted visor that came with my Shoei Multitec has a 'E6' in the upper left hand corner (left as you are wearing the helmet).

I purchased it from a MC Dealer in NZ.

i have a shoei tinted visor and a clear one, the tinted one says "for daytime use only" i dont think it is illegal, its just commonsense that dictates when to use it and when not, thats why they are interchangeable and you have a clear one with you so you can change it if the weather gets pooey.

That confirms those exist, now I have only to find a couple of them.

I live in Spain, and if you ride with a helmet or visor without that (E) you may step into trouble.
