Anybody know who rides a newly painted blue/white older gixxer in Dunedin?

if you do or if he is a kbr and reads this he needs to know when a vehicle is stopped at a pedestrian crossing and there are four lanes (outside wollies on andy bay rd) he doesnt roar past the stopped vehicle JUST incase there is somebody else on the crossing, plus his riding is well below average as he weaved in and out of the cars

No ... just glad that rider didn't kill somebody. Ignorance (of the law) is no longer an excuse in court ...anymore.

The law now requires traffic on both sides of the road to remain stationary, untill the pedestrian(s) are completely across the crossing.

The inclusion of demerits is now added to the fine if caught by the "enforcers"...

A relative of mine was killed this way. Not by a bike but a car that passed a stopped truck. The truckie stopped and waved the girl across the crossing and she popped out in front of the passing car on a 2 way road. Was messy, but the car driver got off. Was overseas and although the law is the same there, the driver of the car knew someone in the police who pulled some strings. True story and totally disgusting.

When someone does this to me, and in big cities its happened lots, I boot them on their way past me. I have no shame doing this, (have difficulty not doing it in fact, shouldnt let anger take over... reflex I guess) and have had a driver or two stop and get out. Me having red mist after what happened to the relative, have beckoned them over to me with what must be a look of shear anger and some words ... always they have got back in their car and driven off.

If you put my life in danger I will get very annoyed. Especially when as vulnerable as crossing a road legally. Its like driving on the footpath in some respects.

One of my very earliest tickets was for doing that and I don't think I've done it in the ensuing 30 or so years.
