It's okay Hels. I will come to GP b'day party!!! I never got to go to a GP birthday...something I regret deeply
Though I do console myself with the odd Gourmet Butter CHicken pie from BP. Don't knock it till ya tried it people!
The humble pie... the only food which alone can support a three course dinner. There's the runny sort of pie (a sort of entree / soup pie if you will) followed by your savory sorts (as your main) then the apple and blackberry, custard or other sweet pie (as your dessert).
I'm sure the original pie inventor was a wannabee biker. Can you think of a biker you know that doesn't like a bloody good pie? Not me.

You buggers are making me bloody hungry, I love pies!
Georgie Pie was OK I reckon, didn't have to "live" there, I like a choice!
Wasn't it MacDonalds that bought Georgie Pie up and "closed" them!![]()
FUCK YEAH GEORGIE PIE!!
Parents occasionally bring up the story...
Of how I was eating a pie, when some kid came up and hit my lady friend (we were about 4 at the time) and took her pie when the adults went to get their foods. Ma said she turned around and saw me punch the fucker right in the nose and push him over.
Pies are serious fucking business, guys. They better not take GP away again.
I was disappointed when GP closed. Nutricious food, well prepared and cooked, conveniently available and excellent value for money. They leave a big gap in the market. Other bakeries have good pies, but you don't have the predicatbility and ubiquity of GP. In any town in which you found yourself, if you saw a GP you knew you could get a good feed, And none of the other fast foods establishments have edible food, IMHO. Subway excepted, perhaps.

The best news of the year as far as I am concerned. Anyone wanting to sell pies gets a big tick in my book, but Georgie Pie......oooh I say.......I'm off to the loo with a box of Kleenex, some latex gloves and a picture of Suzanne Paul.......yeah baby.....
when they closed down.. i went to an auction.. and bought a 44 gal drum of tomatoe sauce. for $3...
couldnt lift it...
ended up tipping the the whole lot down the drain...
hope they do open up again
Big Chicken pies....,
And that is the honest truth your honour..
PIES? They must be extremely good pies then, cause you lot are talking about PIES.
Eating pie here is a whole lot different.
(I am hungary now)
they were crap......its why they went out of business. There are far far better pies to be had...every town has a bakery that would wipe the floor with georgie pie.
