The humble pie... the only food which alone can support a three course dinner. There's the runny sort of pie (a sort of entree / soup pie if you will) followed by your savory sorts (as your main) then the apple and blackberry, custard or other sweet pie (as your dessert).

I'm sure the original pie inventor was a wannabee biker. Can you think of a biker you know that doesn't like a bloody good pie? Not me.

I should have worked that out, bread that is not toasted is bread not toast...

I would like to see a satay beef or chicken pie on the revived menu...

You buggers are making me bloody hungry, I love pies!

Georgie Pie was OK I reckon, didn't have to "live" there, I like a choice!

Wasn't it MacDonalds that bought Georgie Pie up and "closed" them!

    FUCK YEAH GEORGIE PIE!!
Parents occasionally bring up the story...
Of how I was eating a pie, when some kid came up and hit my lady friend (we were about 4 at the time) and took her pie when the adults went to get their foods. Ma said she turned around and saw me punch the fucker right in the nose and push him over.

Pies are serious fucking business, guys. They better not take GP away again.
Some people just can't seem to comprehend that they do not have the right to be unoffended in their lives.

I was disappointed when GP closed. Nutricious food, well prepared and cooked, conveniently available and excellent value for money. They leave a big gap in the market. Other bakeries have good pies, but you don't have the predicatbility and ubiquity of GP. In any town in which you found yourself, if you saw a GP you knew you could get a good feed, And none of the other fast foods establishments have edible food, IMHO. Subway excepted, perhaps.

Wasn't the original store the Greenlane one and once they embarked on their hugely ambitious expansion plans building big eat in facilities all over the Nation just when everyone had grown so fat, dumb and happy they didn't want to get out of their cars any more and just do drive-in, so they (GP) over invested in real estate and lost their shirt. In swooped Maccas and the rest is history.

PIES? They must be extremely good pies then, cause you lot are talking about PIES.

Eating pie here is a whole lot different.
