There's a liquor ban? No signs about. Pretty sure they'd just confiscate it anyway surely.

Pub was just down from the stadium, called the mill I think, so not the CBD ay.

The Mill is just down the road, but its a bottle store not a pub. And yes the liquor ban does extend all the way up there, Mill St is the northern boundary of the liquor ban.

They take the ban pretty seriously.. If your lucky they will just make you tip out all your booze, if your unlucky you get arrested and spend the night/weekend in the cells and get a big fine when you goto court.

How are out of towners meant to know anything at all about a liquor ban being enforced lol?!?! In Auckland there are signs about where there's a liquor ban.

I think about three cop cars drove straight past us with our box of beer anyway so must've been our lucky night

There are signs around but they are probably scarce around that end of town, as I doubt they have many problems down there lol.

Pub near the stadium is called The Helm. The liquor ban is only in town I think.
Sux for us that the Crusaders lost... grrr... a home final would have been AWESOME!!
