How many casks would that be?

Just got off the phone to a mate who rang to say gidday, got yappin and he tells me of an incident at his work place today,he works at the 111 call center, these little buggers had 111 37 times in what must have been from the get go easily understood as a prank call by the operator requesting a fire truck to there house,in the end to there was a unit dispatched to there addressto find a gaggle of the little buggers still happily tapping away on the phone. The still pissed parents were awoken from there sleep by Fireman eagerly looking for a fire to put outHe wasnt sure wether the Fire Brigade give them a bill but they are up for a $6 charge for every time they dialled 111.Wont be to happy come bill paying time methinks.

I bet sometimes the firefighters are itching to start their own...
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

Its not even just false call outs that can attract that charge, normally per engine.

I believe Auckland Uni got billed $400 per truck, and 4 always attended, each time a fire alarm went off...

You'd just want to disconnect the alarm then wouldn't you?

Mate in the Compsci building we've been cleared out maybe 4 times this semester. Outside the Biological Sciences building down Symonds St I've seen fire engines parked outside at least 4 or 5 times this year as well.

Can't figure it out -- every time it's a false alarm, we all pile back in after 10 minutes or so outside. Ridiculous. Probably just those ancient decrepit old buildings falling to bits.

In all seriousness, I don't think that's the case at uni -- especially not in the Bio Sci building which (the one I'm talking about) is populated entirely by balding men with beards wearing stylish sock/sandal combos... no stoned students in there.

If it was a student playing tricks I think they wouldn't last long amongst their peers. It really is a complete pisser when you're buried neck-deep in the middle of of assignment you've been there for a couple of hours, and you have to put all your work down and close up and evacuate. Even worse when it happened in a mid-term test and the results got canned
