Long time dreamer - short time rider! (Mschvs)

    Hey Everyone,

Another 'noob' here ... god I hate that word ... but can't deny it!

I can't say I've ridden bikes my whole life, but I've always wanted to, and now we finally own the learners bike of my dreams (share with my man).

I just LOVE our 2009 Black Ninja 250. It's everything a Ninja should be ... sleak, nimble, stealthy, light on it's feet ... and goes fast enough and hard enough for a girl to learn on!

I don't however ... have a lot of mates to go riding with ... in fact, practically none (that own bikes!)! One of the downsides in sharing a bike, as my partner and I can't go riding together ... but we're looking at rectifying this in one way or another ... so I would love to hear about any rides around Waikato, Bay Of Plenty or thereabouts ....

I'm not into racing ... but I welcome constructive criticism, and tips ... any time!

    Cheers

    Mschvs

    Hi Mschvs,

I just got a bike too, after wanting one for many years. I hope your partner gets a bike of his own soon too.

    Best of luck.

I didn't know you always wanted to ride bikes! Why didn't you tell me 5 years ago? We could've got a ZX10R or an R1 instead a KID!!!

That was a joke... I don't regret a second of our daughters existence. Still... we could've got a couple of 250's, one with a side-car!

You'd be welcome on the "laxed out rides", although they are based out of Hamiltron. Plenty of beginners ride with the group. Plenty of support and good company. They even let me ride with them...

Bet you think that was a 'save', it wasn't, but showing your potential to suck up, will come in handy from time to time here.

Welcome to Mschvs (right misses?) & yourself, NDORFN.

Nice that you two can already share your toys.

    Welcome to KB Mschvs.

Good to hear you are living your dream.

Take care not to turn it into a nightmare.

Get some practical training and the feeling you already have will get better and better (the bike you ride will also get bigger and bigger).

    Good luck.

    Happily Cautious ....

Thanks guys .... I love riding, and have already been on some great rides, and as my title suggests, I ride happily, and relatively confidently cautious! Haha

As soon as I get some $$$ together, I'll go sit my skills test and get my license ... promise! haha

I didn't find myself in a hole. Anything but.

    Who started it all ...

NDORFN got me into riding in the first place ... although I did always want to ride a bike, besides even having one parked in the garage at our disposal ... I never really thought to be honest it would ever become a reality ... other things were important to me at varying times during my life, and biking was always on the backburner. I probably physically dream about it more now that I actually do it ...

Ok I'll clarify. It was me who fought to stop my daughter from being oborted in the first place, I have also dedicated the past 3 1/2 years to raising her full-time. She's more important to me than any single thing in the world, including bikes, so with that in mind, can you see the ironical/funny side of my comment?
