Thats John Ooinks bike, my sponser(he got me the spare bits after i totaled my bike at taupo last march, final round PMCC 08) only the wheels , pipes ,engine/radiator and brake calipers survived. wiped out at turn 4( and it went end over end , lots of broken LC bits strewn across the the track ;-( ,Bummer ;-( i was 2nd equal in post classic too ( pre89 and pre 82 combinened) going into the last round) Bryan Craig? from hawera was racing the other LC, was good fun but his bike was having a few issues that weekend, not like ours a mate great pics thanks

PS A Big thanks to John/Superior Sheet Metals , see you at Manfeild VMCC rd2

All this talk of LC,s just got me all nostalgic.
Back in the early 80,s i used to be a marshall at Snetterton race circuit in norfolk UK.
the "proddy racin 250 class & 350 class......... just as the YPVS models were out. was some of the best racin i have ever seen
Used to keep us marshalls busy picking up the carnage of 40 'budding world champs' trying to squeeze thru turns 1 & 2.
Remember a guy called Gerry Marshall used to take great pleasure in nudging the shoulder of the guys he was passing.
Oh dont get me started................... trans-atlantic challenge...... norton rotary.....z1,s oh the good ole days

Cool mate, ive got a dvd with the pro/am series on it, start with LCs then YPVS . There MAD !!! and Barry Sheene is doing the commentry He saying it makes his racing look safe and there is no way he would race with the LCs lol. Niall Mackenzie , Alan Carter , Kenny Irons , and Ray Swann , all having mad battles on bikes they dont own, let alone know what there riding till they draw a key out of a helmet sitting on the Wrangler bike, SO COOL !!!
So are you going to find a LC and come racing? There are 3 more being built it Hawkes Bay at the mo, im sure you NEED one

Thought you RD boys would like this old photo from 81 when they were new ?
It's at a meet they used to have at Lyall Bay Wgton.
I personally always prefered the RD to the RZ. Gaz.
