Thanks for all the big welcomes. You're right about the lame name, must think of something cooler/wittier! And yes GB400/500's are cool as, but yeah probably not heaps faster than my 250.
See some of you out there (not on the gravel), I'm going for a thrash round the moutere on saturday if things pan out

That's what happens when you cut 28mm out of it.

Actually I was jealous of the Triumph so had to make this one the same.
    Cheers,

Good on ya WW! Those roads are a happy hunting ground for wayward KTM's, bloody good fun, and nice and safe now that the logging crews are gone. Loads of routes back to the highway as well

Over the Spooners and before the main turnoff to the left (golf club way) up those forestry roads there...

Search Google Maps for "Biggs Rd".

Access it from Stock Rd (tarseal route to St Arnaud), follow Spooners Top Rd, then it branches onto Biggs Rd. Follow Biggs right back to SH6 down by Golden downs turnoff at Valley Rd. Use Google maps at 500ft zoom view to see forestry road names.
There's a whole new world of adventure out there, you just gotta be brave, use your common sense and respect logging operations. Bloody luverly!

Or try the direct approach from SH6: as you come down off Spooners saddle and after the road crosses to the other side of the river, TL opposite Mt Norris Reserve at the sign that says "Mt Norris 32". 3km straight up there to the intersection with Biggs Rd.
    Cheers,
    Colin

Ah, nope. Straight it is not, loads of corners, blind crests, and a few lumpy sideroads if ya go looking. Potential for some time trial runs I reckon!!!

'Direct' may be more accurate. Some good tight corners. Tried to exit via a different route, didn't find what I was aiming for... you know how much things change when the forest is logged. Lots of neat gravel roads to explore, that's for sure.
    Cheers,
    Colin

There's some more trails/hills you need to see up Sharlands that we went up/down today.
