Wellington Rideouts - Where next?

Hi, I'll be at caltex then near the akatarua road entrance at 10.30 ish on sunday morning. Possibly bringing a mate. Both on trailwing tyres - will that be a huge issue for any of the tracks you got planned? We did the karapoti track a few weeks ago with out too many issues - but not ideal rubber for really muddy stuff!

For a new rider with you guys, stop giving me so many choices

Might need the watrproofs and polyprops for sunday

mate dont worry.
if you guys dont want to go up. have a look at pylon track and you can make the decision.
we can do summer hill, its a great gravel road. good twisty bits and fast strights.

one my fav roads.
ive been in the southerlands hut a few times on trail wings.
we see how and what the day brings.

what i mean is...NOT if its wet.........summerhill sounds GOOD

So it's almost run in, she should be good to go then.

Mine's done about 90,000, the other bike has done about 250,000.

You'd do Sutherlands ok on the PD Eddie. Its definitely much harder at the mo than in summer but doable for sure; you're not exactly inexperienced anymore mate, you'd be ok - be steady-eddie and keep thinkin head on & be ok I reckon based on wot I saw last Saturday in there with Ben. The only thing is theres been alot rain this week and more forecast so that'll slicken it up even more in there & rivers could be up more by Saturday would be only caveat.

No earlier start then!

I'll see you at the Rimutaka Caltex at 10.30 for 10.40 departure then!

Tis cool - Joe we'll see you at Pylon blocks at 11am mate, UNLESS weather is shocking!

Personally, I will post on here by 9am if i am bailing due to very crap weather, but if its just odd shower i'll be going!

Right, don't the this the wrong way but....... if you'd read thru the posts above you would have seen that I asked if anyone was willing to start earlier so we can get pylon track AND summer hill gravel loop in & not finish too late, as its gettin cold early now its winter!

Can you/do you want to do 9.30 at the Caltex? For a 9.40/9.45 departure to head over the 'Takas to the pylon track for 10.00!

hi, take the early start.
when you guys get to the blocks, we go in have a look at the track.
if your not keen to go up, we all head for the glady pub for a cupper.
