    Far canal...

We're up Halfway Bush, nothing moving here but 4WDs. Not that deep, but slippery as. Employee rang in - he's stuck on Helensburgh Road in the work cage.

We got home from the maintenance night just before midnight, the skies were clear then.

Great photo looking down on the motorway...!

Someone just tried to get up our street in a cage - got as far as our place before sliding backwards down the hill - just missed Mutley's cage. Shame really, it was due at the panelbeaters at 8.00 this morning...

Tried to get to work this morning. Left just after 10 thinking roads should be a better by now... grit and what have you

    WRONG

got most of the way down - most of the road wash slush - thought sweet....

approach another inclined section and slowed up, going fine then a few meters later not so fine, keep gently on the brakes waiting for traction....
nope.... guy walking up the road waving to stop (too late mate) nope still not enough traction.... um car..... nope still f*** all traction.... umm... oh wait!! it's starting to slow

This is how it ended up - me on the left

This is the bit between the Orbell st intersection and Franklin st (that corner just up from the scout hall)

Here's a pic of the cars that were below me (I was above the corner, never made it as far down as them)

The white car at the top of the group hit the back of the ute next to it and spun it round. That, strangely was the only vehicle damaged.....

Also met a French lady who was trying to get down on her scooter - funny thing is I think she may have actually made it to town!!!! She said she was used to worse snow than this back home so I guess.....
