What is the location of your attempt at picture 3?

And yes, picture 1 would be the hardest I believe.

Ahh i get it, i knew it because i have a friend whos dad lives there. but i had to go to be sure because i couldnt remember the stone wall.

That location is a secret (because i have no idea, i got soooo lost up there) But i believe its the highest road availible that has a similar view down to that container dock. and i think i actually went to the right spot twice then left started to get really cold so thought meh good enough.

Here's a laugh, call up google maps street view on the Bridle Path at the Lyttleton end where it meets Harmens Rd. Now travel up the Bridle path rd as far as you can.

As for Mikkels turn around photo, surely it's at the end of a road. Maybe even the end of Hyllton Heights?
Leave the rest of your tags alive, I might still go for a nosie up there tonight. Haven't gazed down on the lights of Lyttelton for a while now.

And the new tag... can't be that many paddocks about the city that fit. I'm pretty sure I know where to head.

There's no paved road between the place where I took the 3rd photo and the Summit road. If you consider the clue and look at a map of the area it becomes quite obvious (unless you don't get the clue of course).

I was tempted to put the tag about half-way up the Bridle path - but between it being dark, me being alone and people crying about gravel I thought better of it.

Was the clue "The end of the line" - if not, what makes you so certain then? (As for Hyllton Heights - it's one of these new friendly posh neighbourhoods with huge fuck-off gates and private road signs galore. So no, you can't ride up Hyllton Heights which is the main reason I stopped where I did - the other option from there is another dirt road.)

Funny this is, when i arrived at hyllton heights, a truck came out so i could have easily gone in, i only thought about that after i left of course, Oh and that i know the code helps lol!

Now see how ambiguous clues can be. All seems too easy when you know where you are, but the rest of us are just, well, lost.

I assumed the turning point was where you'd have to turn around because there was an end to the road. How many other reasons are there to turn. No I don't want to count bends in the road as a reason.

Actually I thought you may have been further round. I've been up Comwell Rd which looked good to me as a possible location.

When you are there it does make sense anyway. The street is very narrow and there's only one place you can turn around without getting off your bike.

I know where it is , and for info the drop was heading up to take the photo of the second location tagged, the right had turn into little street you go up, cant remember the name.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

Weather is crap, I ain't taking my camera out in this. It's less waterproof than I am. Besides I revisited it's night settings and it don't have the ability to hold the shutter open for as long as I want. Yes it does have the moon setting which is half way there, but it won't let me keep the shutter open for as long as my finger is on the button, which my old film camera let me do. Get great night shots that way.
