I bet $20 that there'll be an article in the news of 'first arab woman motorbike rider', and damn proud of it too! It'll probably get a mixed reaction, good thing i don't live there no more!
Good on you kunoichi, im glad you love NZ and feel relaxed enough about riding your bike here than your homeland, which would cause a bit of a 'rackus' no doubt!
Now not being 'mum' but i youst to have long hair and having it out the back of a helmet causes no ends of tangles but when i was over in the states recently i noticed you can buy these really cool leather hair tubes, that look so cool .....nice to accessorise, you might even be able to get them here.

And not being mum again, just make sure your are out riding your not looking for looks from other people, and are keeping those eyes on the road and the task of riding.

no i'm not looking for looks, but i do get significantly distracted wen checking out a fellow biker on the road. LOL i'v had a couple of near misses from that :P

i braid my hair wen i get on my bike, so don't have much trouble with tangling (tho i remember wen i went of my first coro loop i forgot my hair tie and went to my bf place -only the 2nd time i'd hung out with him- with a huge birds nest! I had to get his sis to help me brush it out! LOL! i'm sure i left him with an impression then )

Haha, yeah for bikers that decide to tailgate me now, i stand up on my footpegs and give them a bum waggle, kuz they'r either so close they must be checking out my ass! LOL!

Personally, i get dirty looks, perhaps dagger stare as her husband/bf checks my bike out or has a chat with me.
Most of the time my gear hold everything in so tightly and covers any curves .... it would be hard to tell I'm a chick! Lol ... till I take my helmet off that is!

I haven't got leather gears ... wouldn't mind a leather jacket but couple of things I hate ... the arms are always all baggy ... YUCK, and most of the ones I find are too short. I have a longer upper body, and am reasonably .... ahem ... well endowed, so jackets and tops etc tend to be a little short for me.

But the IXON jacket I got is awesome, fitting, but holds everything in nice and tight, but tight in the right places, ya know what I mean!

lol, that's alot nicer than my textile jacket and pants. I had the same problem as u in jacket size, my torso is far too long so i can't wear the size small jacket. But wot i ended up doing is geting the size up and getting the pant zip sown onto the bottom of the jacket (lady on K rd does wounders with leathers) so that it doesn't ride up if i crash, leaving plenty of space for my "friends". I only wish i could find a leather jacket that has a long torso in a size small.

Coro loop is fun did this last year when i was touring, yeah tailgaters...i've tried to figure this one out as i have the same problem at times very distracting, but i reckon they just are not aware they are doing it as it is habit and would do this if you were in a car as well.

correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't ducati's one of the heavier bikes on the market? that's wot i hear, i havn't ridden one. Nice bike, i would love one, but since i struggle with the weight of my lil ninja 250, i stayed clear of anything bigger.

The big Ducatis are quite heavy, but the smaller ones, like the 400 monster are light, very manoeuverable, and go like a dream.. they weigh about 160 kg's if I remember right, and are sooo fun to ride

I have a monster 1000 and i love it....its about 180kgs so its actually about 60kgs lighter than my last bike. the only time weight is a factor is for manouverability, once your riding they are all the same you just adapt and ride it. My monster is just a lot easier to wheel around by hand than my 1200 sportster i had.
