Mrs C brought a nice set of dryrider gloves which are quite styly. Will show them to you next time you call past

Same goes for pantsAnyone . Nice, comfortable and decent looking pants are what she wants. She hates the fit of the Draggin Jeans, and neither of us are too keen on the look of most textile pants available here in NZ. The IXON textile womans pants look interesting. Unfortunately ICON, who do a ton of great fitting guys street pants have sweet FA in the way of female pants.
Rev'it is awesome gear!! They have a pretty wide range of womens gloves, I personally have some race Joe Rocket ones though they are guys (I have largish hands)
Ditto with the pants...revit is awesome fitting stuff, a lot of the girls at the Aaron Slight track day at Taupo had the same kit as me!
I know ANZA stock revit cos my pants came from there

    Excuse the posing

Aint it great to have a girl who's as into bikes as you are? I wouldn't have it any other way.

    Very nice choice of bike.

Good luck with the debating on clothing. If she's not keen on anything off the shelf try maybe some tailored made stuff, can highly recommed Leda Leathers. As for gloves there are some many ones out there, it's just a case of researching what she likes and if you can get it here in NZ.

I found out the hard way how important gloves are, having gravel tooth-brushed out of your palms is really not a lot of fun

We are off to OZ eventually next year some time, so the Aprillia is only a temporary step to the 600 sized bikes. She'll be on her full by Xmas. Leathers wont cut it in Northern Oueensland, too damn hot! So textile stunter style gear maybe the option here, like my stuff. She loves her Rev-it Jacket and gets a ton of compliments on it when shopping in town. Its assumed its a normal dress jacket and not an armoured bike jacket at all!

when I was living in cairns I knew another ex pat who used to ride in just a singlet with mx armour (would have needed a few skin grafts but might have done somthing against impact). Ixon make an awsome jacket with 3 layers, 1st layer is mostly mesh, second layer is for wind, which you definatly won't be needing in FNQ, and the third layer is water proof (which you definatly will) you might still want some light leathers if you plan to tour though

Shame you cannot impress on her that it is a case of form over function. If the two meet then it is a bonus. I guess if she wants to pave the roads with skin then it is her choice.......but she wont be as nice to look at afterward.
NO gear NO ride....end of story.
