Neutral riding, it's pro... i swear.

Okay well sine about 2005 me and mates have done the get to a hill shut bikes off and have a neutral coasting battle down a big hill...

    just shits and giggles really...

but a new breed of neutral riders is emerging...

first indy at the kb spitroast party...

    a burnout in neutral....

and now dangerous bastard trying to u-turn in neutral and binning...

is neutral riding some cool new fad i'm not in on yet, i mean my bike has a fuked 2nd gear.... goes between neutral and 2nd in pulses... is that a hybrid type of old school and new school riding, or do you have to ride in neutral all the time to be a true riding master...

    does it improve fuel consumption?

will my clutch and tyres last longer...

or has everybody forgotton first gear is down?

    theorys?

i think i need more convincing to jump on the band wagon.

i am still waiting for the mormon few neutral wheelie video.

    Skid.

I find the best thing to do is give it a bit in 1st gear and then hit neutral while bouncing of rev cut for a few seconds and then hit 2nd.. gets the looks all the time.

Hitting neutral in wheelstands is really cool. The front drops. Hard.

Back in the late 80s we used to call them "rolling races " lol.
Start at the top of the Rimutukas and try to make it to the Kiwi Camp bridge first.
We got so good at it we passed cars in multiples and then you get to the bottom of the hill (at about the first aid house ) and really start to slow down , its amazing that some of the cars you passed will stay behind you for some silly reason known only by them.

I had an unfair advantage as i was on a CBX750 F2 and they weighed 225 kgs.

i now admit its a silly dangerous activity and i dont condone it on a public road, shit it was fun though.

We used to do something similar down the Ohope Beach hill on pushbikes.
I still bear the scars today!
