Redline race practice day - hot off the press

    MOTORBIKE TEST DAYS
Need a chance to get out on the track and test your bike before a race day?

In conjunction with Taupo Motorsport Park, Redline Trackdays is giving you an opportunity to do this at one of our
    'TEST DAYS'

    1. Full Track
    2. 3 groups - F1 & F2, F3 & Clubmans
    3. 25 minute sessions, groups are restricted to 20 riders only
    4. Provides a chance to practice your race starts
    5. Timing devices are allowed
    6. No passing restrictions
    7. Test days will run rain or shine so be prepared and bring your wets - will only be postponed if the weather is atrocious
    8. $120 for the day which includes a shared use of a pit garage
    9. Pre-registration is essential, payment must be 'prepaid' in full via direct credit 7 days before the event
    10. All riders must have a valid MNZ race license - this will need to be presented upon registration
    11. For added safety an ambulance will be present at the track

First day is - Friday 3rd July 2009 Taupo Motorsport Park
(Further dates to follow for August, September, October & November 2009)
For any enquiries, please contact Darrin on 021 847 668 or Jacki on 07 376 5033.

GREAT IDEA from Redline track days! Lets support this so as to get more of them confirmed!

    Anyone know why this is:

All riders must have a valid MNZ race licence - this will need to be presented upon registration

And second question, which group do motards go in? F3?

F3 or clubmans will also run Motards. You need a MNZ race licence as it is a race based meeting...not a race but designed for racers who are serious about practice and know what they are doing. This keeps it to those that are not scared of a bit of paint swapping and won't cry about it later. Go get your MNZ licence Shorty (if you haven't got it) and come have some fun. It will also be a great day for those who are thinking about going racing and want to "dip there toes in."

What would be the advantage over these as opposed to a normal test day held every second weds where you can use timers you dont need an mnz licence and its 20 mins on 20 mins off?

Also there won't be any cars there to track dirt onto the circuit as its bikes only. Either way, good way to get more practice in...not that you need it on Taupo bro!!!

Sooooo , If i have an MNZ licence i can attend to swap a bit of paint (not really encorouged under MNZ code of conduct) and if im thinking of becoming a racer and want to try out my toe dipping skills i can , even though i havnt got an MNZ licence yet.

Yip , sounds like a good old open day to me on a race circuit. Unless it has an MNZ permit issued .

    Ohhh hell im confused now.
