And the worst thing is, the same ticket that won the big prize also won the second division, so they got $34,453,401 in cash, plus the luxury prizes AND the second division prize of $696,795.

To be honest, I'd be rapt if I'd won the $795 right now...
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

I went to New World near Vic Park last night to get some shampoo and intended to buy a Big Wed ticket. Now being a firm believer of "there's no such thing as a quick buck" I very rarely buy lotto but thought, what the heck, I could do with a bit more dosh. Upon entering there was a really long queue. Oh dear, I don't queue for anything so that's me out but what an incredibly sad site.

About 40 people standing like zombies with completely blank looks in their eyes. It was like they were aligned along a wall ready to be shot, so desperate to end their monotonous, meaningless lives.

For fuck sake people, snap out of it and try living (and a little bit of work) for a change.

I wonder what the average $$$ of just those 40 zombies was being spent on the Lotto ?

I felt like a big spender buying heads AND tails of the basic variety. The woman in front of me bought 6x$20.

Neither did the toothless, multiple shopping bag transporting individual who bought $120 worth of tickets in front of me.

Kinda of strange to think that we are going thru a recession and yet there were thousands of tickets sold trying to win the Big 35 Million. I guess you have to be in it to win it but I wonder how many of those people who spent money they really didn't have trying to buy that winning ticket are felling today knowing that they didn't. Disappointed crosses my mind.

If you feel disappointed you don't have the brain power to gamble in the first instance.

There are 3 camera crews accross the road from here outside the store that sold the ticket. I just went and mentioned to one of the camera men "You do realise they aint gonna show don't you?"

Same person isn't it just with the opposite Heads/Tails thing so it didn't win the big one?

Now I'm on the second page I see you caught up with that.

We've been here before Merv. He shampoos his pubes to stay in practice, just in case the head hair cuts back in.

You make me sound like some sort of Casanova. I'm a gentlemen with the best of intentions with my current partner.

But yes, the shampoo was for the bitch.
