    Someone stole my rubbish bin.

Co-pilot is up-country and I'm slacko and have been writing and web designing and forgot to bring the red top garbage bin in.

    Gone.

Footpath - gutter - parked cars. No bin.

I mean - no biggie, ring and the council sends a new one.

    But, what the....?

What do they do - cut and shut them and give them new lids and ship them off to the states.

Or are there Bin Racers doing bin-outs in a park somewhere?

Call Auckland Shitty Council and get a new one. I did that when my first bin wasn't stolen. About the same time they halved the size of the bins.

When I was flatting we ended up with about 6 of those old recycle bins somehow, was really helpful for the after party clean-ups!

    Yah. dun.

How does a single man fill half of one? (apart from the bodies in your case obviously)

We used to ride in them down hills. Usually by the time you came to a stop at the bottom of the hill, the plastic handle and most of the back side of the bin were a melted mess.

Scuttlebutt at the precinct is that they are going to be used to house prisoners...cheaper than shipping containers if you rip 'em off from the side of the road...

You have to pay for your rubbish to be collected? That's what rates are for.

Interestingly enough, many years ago I had a Council as a customer and I wanted to get rid of them. At an annual review, they raised concerns about software subscription. They said and I quote, " It's seems like an awful lot of money to be paying for something that we derive so little benefit from." I replied, "You mean like rates?"

    Mission accomplished.

I live on a shared driveway and if you don't take your bin down in time the neighbours will take it...so you take someone else's bin
