    Donington WSBK *SPOILERS*

Looks like the qualifying was a bit dodgy with rain coming early on. Spies back to his old tricks though with his eighth pole of the season.

Max Biaggi next, Shakey Byrne and Nakano round out the front row.

Two Apillias on the front row.

Gonna be an interesting couple of races for sure.

A double for Spies and a broken Vertabra for Haga. I hope he's OK.

Championship lead down to 14 points.

haga cracked vertabra, is from an old injury, and not from his spill at donington

just a badly broken wrist and sholder injury, at least he got little under a month to see how much he can heal before brno.

Is this the end of his title hopes?

Good news has emerged from the Derby Royal Infirmary regarding the condition of Ducati Xerox rider Noriyuki Haga. A further CT scan on the Japanese rider revealed that what were thought to be fractures of the T8 and T9 vertebrae could actually be the remains of a previous incident. This immediately brought a halt to the scheduled operation.

"This is good news" declared team manager Davide Tardozzi, "but of course it needs to be confirmed tomorrow, Monday. Nori will for sure undergo an operation on the ulna bone of his right forearm, because it is a displaced fracture and there is also a suspected fracture of the scapula (shoulder blade) bone. It is clear however that if he really doesn't need to have an operation to the vertebrae he could get away with a month's rest".

    Copied & Pasted:

Noriyuki made another good start and was in second place by the end of the first lap, but on the fourth lap he suffered a bad fall while entering Coppice Corner. He was immediately transferred to the track’s medical centre where the doctors declared a fracture of one of his vertebrae. At this point it was decided to move him by helicopter to Derby hospital where he will receive further medical attention.
It's OK to disagree with me. I can't force you to be right.

Nori Haga suffered injury to his back today in his race two crash at Donington Park. Haga was struck by his motorcycle at least twice in the spill, resulting in a cracked vertebra, a broken wrist and a possible minor break in his collarbone area.
    ---

well since he was hit by his bike not once but twice, so come off not to bad.

same corner bayliss lost his finger at a couple years back

Sure is a shame if the title comes down to this incident being the defining factor, i'm not sure but it kinda looked to me as if Haga was slowly getting his head messed over by Spies, hope he recovers quickly and gets back to it.
There were heap incidents in the second race with that greasy track, was waiting for Spies to go down for his usual DNF of one of the two races during the weekend, here's hoping his bad luck is pretty much done for the year too.

yea was gutted to see haga hurt. i recognized the seriously fucked shoulder pretty fast but the arms gonna be a pain. He was so lucky it wasn't alot worse.

Im all for spies but it just aint fun if it aint a battle. Hopefully nori heals up good. Hed prob be best served skipping brno (where the dukes often not so fast) healing up proper and going ape shit the after summer break. but if nori can nearly race he will.
