Depends on tyres I guess, also Hopkins on the Kawasaki could be a threat, but more like possibly the odd win but unlikely to be a serious title threat.
Gotta be the guys you named, Lorenzo may spring the odd surprise too, though I think Pedrosa and Stoner had the measure of him in 250's.
More than likely going to be Rossi vs Stoner round 2.

So what's happend to Toseland, 2nd season in MotoGP. No wins, no podiums not even a top 5 finish yet.

That's where he belongs but even Spies will chew him alive there. And spit him out.

He has been the most dissapointing of the sbk riders to move to motogp, thought he would be going better than he has.

Goes to show the difference in racing standards. The team he is in isn't the greatest either. But I was expecting him to have 1 or 2 podiums by now.

I read somewhere he is looking to replace Spies in SBK with Spies possibly taking Toselands place in MotoGP.

Spies is special but unless he gets a factory ride - he has no chance in MotoGP

Who are the riders a team in its right mind wouldn't drop for Spies? Rossi, Lorenzo, Stoner, Pedrosa. Any more?

There is something somewhere i read where

a rookie can not go on a full factory ride first year, bar suzuki/kawaski since they only have factory teams.

    So honda/ducati/yamaha
would have to put him on satllite team before promoting him to factory team.

Bit unsure if that offical rule or whatever tho

yea there is a rookie rule next year. i dont think a factory team would sign a sbk guy now, even if they could. not unless it was commercial.

if he does jump on the tech 3 its the most competitive satellite team by light years.
