    I own a group A WRC homologation rally car, rally cars should be noisy.

    Even rallies have noise limits (those of the country they're held in), so that reason can fuck off

    There are busses that drive past my house at 6am every morning till past midnight, then they sit there idling for 10 minutes, and those busses make almost as much noise as my car so I'm not going to listen to anyone who tells me to quieten my exhaust down till they do something about those busses. And those rubbish trucks make lots of noise as well...

    Take the bus then... You've got the transport and the noise you want...

    Just so you have a point of reference. The noise limit at Ruapuna is 95 dB - that may just be the pit area... but still. 108 dB is loud.

    And contrary to popular belief - at least amongst some cars nuts (and in this case I mean nuts in the most derogatory way btw) - louder does not equal higher performance.

    .....
    So 108 db is 20 times louder than the maximum permitted at Ruapuna.

    My shooting club has just had some sound readings done on the range,

    a .308 rifle art the firing point made a reading of 110 db

    +++++++++++++

    Concorde taking off made 120 db

    Those Stebel horn make something like 130db.

    The human voice in speaking mode is about 72 db.

    108 is a damaging level.

    I bet those buses and rubbish trucks are nowhere near your 108db....

    Write to the cop and remind him he should have green stickered you as well. he may rectify that balls up......

    But it does reflect penis size, or so I have been told. Some form of compensation if I remember correctly
