    Garmin introduces BMW-specific SatNav

Garmin has announced a BMW-specific motorcycle GPS unit. The ‘BMW Motorrad Navigator IV’ - based on the Zumo 660 – features a 4.3inch touch screen control, is waterproof and splash resistant to petrol.

The unit also features a special mount that allows the rider direct access to a range of common features, and a pre-loaded database of BMW dealerships. MP3s or talking on the telephone is possible via a Bluetooth connection, as long as they have a Bluetooth enabled helmet to pair to the unit.

Sounds interesting, what sort of magic pricing are they offering?

Let me guess; it's going to cost $5,000?

Trust BMW to do their own thing. They probably have their own satellite network. Mind you, given their dearth of dealers, GPS is probably an essential part of finding where to go for your next service.

Will it have Homer Simpson's voice over like on TomTom's GPS?

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.
