Hey dude, I would've been keen but thought the plug had been pulled. Didn't want to ride all the way from TA just to be Nigel No-mates! Hope the wind didn't turn your fairings inside out
One in four people are unbalanced. Think of three friends - if they seem OK then you're the one!

    Hi

Can you tell me a bit more about the Sunday rides? I am outside Hamilton but might like to come in for a ride around the Waikato sometimes. What is on this Sunday coming?

In winter, the ride leave from the Kingsgate at 11, if you get there earlier (9.45ish), Murray has organised a deal where you can get a hot brekkie for a tenner.

The ride was initally started for newer riders and is not a race. Roads are usually a mix of twisty and not so twisty so newer riders get a chance to build confidence and the more confident riders can still have a bit of fun and a fang.

Someone waits at turn offs and the faster guys don't mind if the have to wait an extra couple of minutes for the riders that are cruising or learning.

You are welcome to join us, keep an eye on the thread, especially while the weather is a bit iffy. The route is usually chosen on Wed nights at the pub!
Being a staunch family man I have yet to make one of those

Please excuse carver here, he has trouble understanding what these rides are about

He is annoyed we can have fun below the speed limit

These rides are as much about the people that go on them as the ride.

    Good fun.

    Cool Kawhia Road

The grit on the Kawhia Road, there are 3 sections:
    • Intersection of Ngutunui Road & highway 31, 400m about before and 400m after, take it easy and stay in the wheel tracks.
    • Just after Te Kauri Lodge, signs up and 1800mm of it, okay in the wheel tracks.
    • The last patch is as you drop down to the harbour, signs up and about 700m mostly in mounds in the centre of the road.

Other wise the road is fine.

Sorry won't be able to make the pub or a Sunday ride this week may catch up next week.
