    Any Learners in Wellington region?

Any new bikers out there in wellington region that would like to meet up or just have a chat?

My bike is out of action right now and I still need to go for learners which once bike is going will do...I plan to go to Cold Kiwi this year (hopefully ride up if I am confident enough).

Anyone else in the same boat??

Most the motorcycle schools here have bikes you can hire for sitting the BHS course you need to do.

Ive been considering going to Cold Kiwi this year.
As Nasty said you can hire a bike to do your basic handling on. Think its around $30 to hire them.

Good luck with getting your license

My partner is a new rider, and probably keen for a chat / ride. She's an early 30s euro and been riding for about 4 months. Flip me an pm and I'll put you in touch.

Also, if you want to borrow a 250 for the test I've got one here that's nice an easy to ride (250 adv bike, it's even pink and purple)

HAHA @ early 30s euro - sounds like you are selling her!

I am an early 40s hori and well, yeah, i ride a bike!

Good luck on your BHS. My partner did his a while back and it is really easy. He enjoyed it but was trained for an hour before sitting it.

Nah, just like bikes though, keep trading up to newer and fresher models

(okay, not really ;p just giving an idea of who she is.. when I say euro I mean real euro, of the eastern variety)

And, buckets out at Kaitoke tomorrow, races start at 9:30 or so. We'll both be there unless it's raining

I recently sat the BHS and its fairly simple, I think one person failed out of 8 and the person only failed on one part. I take it your going to do it out at Petone? I HEAVILY suggest using the rental bikes as they are little 125's ( I think?) I could not imagine myself doing the salom weave on my 250 lol.

If you need any more info on what to expect etc let me know.
