RGV250 package (more photos + new price!!!)

It is registered as a 1989 model but it is the 1990 L model.
Obviously if youre serious about buying one of these bikes youve done your research into how they go. Not altogether practical for commuting around town, though it can be done and it is fun to do. Im real picky with warming it up (my neighbours will be glad to hear the end of the sugayas early weekend mornings) so thats another thing to think about. Its an absolute dream to ride on nice twisty roads, and even makes straight roads fun.
The bike goes really well, I cant have any complaints. The only reason that Im selling is because Im looking for a more suitable bike for longer rides. Obviously you could use it for racing/track bike if you choose (it goes well), but itd be a shame for it to be off the road.
And anticipating the age old question of is the ignitor box derestricted?, it has a adjustable ignition and powervalve controller.

    Happy to answer questions.
Will put on a new warrant
Only allow test rides if you have the cash with you.

    Replaced all brake discs recently
    Top end rebuilt (December 2008)
Freshly replated Vj22 cylinders (better porting than vj21)
Genuine Suzuki top end kit. (bottom end checked at same time)
    Pipercross air filter

    Has Sugaya chambers
    Ignitech adjustable ignition (+software)
Switched to 32mm non-solenoid carbs (arguably better that 34mm ones)
    Powervalve drains
    Braided brake lines
    New chain in December

    +heaps of spares
    Frame
    Wheels
    Bottom end
    airbox
    carbs
    4 cylinders (varied condition)
    2 pair of stock pipes
1 set of sugaya chambers (with holes-but good reference if you want measurements to get your own set made)
    Tail fairings
    CDIs and PV controllers

Run on 95octane because of compression and ignition.

To answer a trademe question that i have received...yes this is a two stroke.

The best way to contact me is through email (dhdunn@xtra.co.nz) or by cell-0276629599 as i check these regularly.

That is very nice indeed. Is it a genuine Pepsi or just a repaint?

    Hi driftn
Sorry that it took me a while to get back to you
Yes it is “just” as repaint, but it looks really good and is very good quality. To be honest I take alot of pride in owning this bike and I think that I have shown due respect to it.

For this price I think this bike is a steal . As with any motorvehicle you going to lose money on resale-but i’m going to lose alot on this one considering the extras put on it. The modifications which have been done I consider to be intelligent and reliable.

And to answer someone elses question-No there has not been any porting work done. A bit too risky (cost/benefit) to be worthwhile for me (on a road bike that is).

Aha I forgot to update the price to that which is on trademe.
    $4000 now.
Real cheap considering the pipes are about $2000 by themselves. Alot of bang for your buck.

Yeah, it seems that there is lots of interest but not too much cash around the place at the moment. And it is the middle of winter i suppose..
