There's an older one on TradeMe but the '08s (such as you rode) and later have a large number of changes, both mechanical and cosmetic.

If you're looking for a bike that's "co-pilotable" then the DR isn't going to be youror even
choice.
KLRs have their faults but wheel rim strength isn't one of them.
However some people have been known to have issues with KTMS.

i understand but then the bike Mrs Big Dave should be on the back of is the Buell not the KLR isn't it?
if you take 2 up out of the equation, the answer is much easier; that's why my motard has the back pegs removed, it's for me to be an idiot on without worrying what 'er indoors will say
as you know, almost any big wof-able single yammy suzi, kwaka, or hondog trailbike fits your bill if the mistress is removed
i looked for the perfect bike for both 1 up and 2 up but couldn't find it. for a while i thought it was the 950sm and it was a great bike but in the end the happiest solution is to be specific
Like I shun excess.
It would make more sense to get something that she can legally ride too. Shes like the Gas Gas Pampeira-whatsit on paper - but I think it looks at me and says *help*.
if the KLR is too tall for your missus to ride, you can get lowering links and they are dead easy to install. Raise the fork tubes through the yokes to lower the front a bit
